Things that are not taken in to account are the cost of labor to change a bulb x times a year the cost of that bulb. The cost of a incandescent bulb is a small factor is this but the cost of the labor is one that you and only you can answer and is a big factor for your cost.

An example is a compact fluorescent has a rough lifetime of 6,000 hours or half a year. This can be effected by the on/off cycles and the heat within the fixture that the bulb is placed. This can then reduce the life to as little as 2,000 hours. No one can then make an assumption for you or your situation and that is why this calculator will not use that factor.
